The Cowboys  will continue their charge towards an unlikely finals berth when they take on fellow finals hopefuls the Titans  on Saturday night. Back-to-back wins on the back of masterful performances from Jonathan Thurston have given North Queensland a faint hope of reaching the playoffs, although they realistically need to win each of their four remaining matches . Three of those fixtures will be played in Townsville however, and Neil Henry has unsurprisingly named an unchanged squad for the first of them with Robert Lui continuing at halfback and Ray Thompson at hooker.

Following their impressive 26-16 victory over the Bulldogs in Sydney on Monday night, the Titans are also unchanged for the Queensland derby, with Jamie Dowling again named at centre despite sustaining a knee injury in round 22. He will be monitored in the leadup to the match off a five-day turnaround, while Will Zillman and Matt Srama could be late inclusions as they near a return to full fitness.

1st Tryscorer

Antonio Winterstein  is the Cowboys leading tryscorer in 2013 but has scored just one try in his past four NRL appearances. That came when he opened the scoring against Penrith last weekend and he will be determined to get on the scoresheet again after bagging his sides first four pointer when the teams met in round 12.

Speedster Kevin Gordon  has been one of the in-form wingers in the competition of late, with his hat-trick against Canterbury on Monday night taking his tally to six tries from his past four matches. He has scored the first try for his side in six of his past eight outings.

Prediction

The Titans have won three on the trot against North Queensland but will be hard pressed maintaining that record given the strong form of their hosts. Jonathan Thurston, Matt Scott and James Tamou are all in top form for the Cowboys and should deliver another victory to keep them in the hunt for a spot in the finals. North Queensland Cowboys by 12
