Justin Hodges has been ruled out of the Broncos  match against the Eels  at Suncorp Stadium on Friday night, after suffering a season ending Achilles tendon injury in his sides 26-24 victory over St George Illawarra last Sunday. Veteran David Stagg comes in to the starting side to replace him at centre, while highly rated youngster Jordan Kahu returns on the wing for the first time since breaking his thumb in round 19. Nick Slyney, Scott Anderson and Jarrod Wallace have been added to an extended six man interchange bench.

Eels boss Ricky Stuart has unsurprisingly named an unchanged side for this match, with Jarryd Hayne named in the halves again after making his return from injury at five-eighth against Wests. He kicked the field goal that proved decisive when the clubs met earlier this season and will again have a key role to play as Parramatta bid for a third straight success over Brisbane. They have lost 16 on the trot away from Parramatta Stadium however.

Prediction

Parramatta scored just its fourth win of the season when beating the Tigers in last week’s clash of the cellar dwellers but can count Brisbane as one of its victims in 2013, after winning by a solitary point when the clubs met in round nine. The Eels snapped a ten game losing streak by picking up the two points against Wests but face a much stiffer task against the Broncos, who are unbeaten in three matches and are still fighting for a berth in the finals. Brisbane Broncos by 16
