Thursday 15 August, 2013 - The search for the missing TattsLotto player who won more than $1 million on the weekend with an unregistered ticket purchased in Casterton is over.
The winner, who will remain anonymous, has come forward to claim their division one prize in Saturday TattsLotto’s $20 Million Superdraw.
Across Australia, there were 19 winning entries that won a first division share in Saturday TattsLotto’s $20 million Superdraw, each worth $1,052,631.58.
The winning unregistered entry was bought from Casterton Newsagency and Lotto, 77 Henty Street in Casterton.
Tatts spokesperson Belinda McDougall said because the winning ticket was not registered to a Tatts Card, Tatts officials hadn’t been able to contact the winner to let them know.
“Instead of being able to call to tell them they were one of Victoria’s newest millionaires, we had to wait for the winner to contact us,” Ms McDougall said.
“Tatts always recommends customers register their entries to a Tatts Card as it ensures their prize is secure and we can contact them directly with news of a division one win.”
Throughout Australia, there were nineteen entries that won a first division share in Saturday TattsLotto’s $20 Million Superdraw, each worth $1,052,631.58. Along with the winning nine entries from Tatts, another six winning tickets were sold in Queensland, and four in New South Wales.
