Monday 8 July, 2013 - A man from the Gold Coast is planning to go on a surfing safari after winning a share in division one in Saturday’s Gold Lotto draw!
The winner in his 30s was overcome with emotion when he was told by Golden Casket he’d won a division one prize in the weekend’s draw worth $835,452.10.
“I just can’t believe it! This couldn’t have come at a better time for me. I’ve really struggled this year,” the excited winner said.
“That win is going to look so good in my bank account! I’m so happy. I didn’t know I’d won because I don’t check my ticket until I go in to buy the next one.
“I’ve been playing those numbers for years. They’re special numbers made up of family birthdays.”
The happy winner told a Golden Casket official the windfall means he can now realise his life long dream.
“I’d like to buy myself a little unit by the beach because I love to surf. It also means I can travel overseas and surf places like Indonesia and Hawaii!” the excited winner said.
The winning 12-game registered entry was purchased at IGA Miami, Shop 10 at 110 Mountain View Avenue, Miami.
Throughout Australia, there were five entries that won a first division share of Saturday Gold Lotto’s estimated $4 million division one prize pool, each worth $835,452.10.
Along with the winning entry from Queensland, three winning tickets were sold in Western Australia, and one in Victoria.
The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3335 on 6 July 2013 were 29, 3, 43, 26, 8 and 19 with the supplementary numbers 7 and 11.
There are more chances to win big this week with $20 million up for grabs in Thursday’s Powerball draw!
