Prospect pensioner plans how to spend prize money!

Monday 15 July, 2013 - A Tasmanian pensioner has incredibly bright prospects after winning a first division TattsLotto prize of $516,449.07 in Saturday’s draw!

The Prospect man in his 50s told a Tatts official today that he’s not quite sure what to do with half a million dollars.

“I’ve played TattsLotto for years but I suppose I didn’t think I’d win so I never planned how I would spend so much money,” the winner said.

“I’d like to go away on holiday in Australia but I’m not sure what else I’ll do yet.

“I have lots of thinking to do now!”

The man purchased his winning 24-game QuickPick TattsLotto entry from Prospect Lotto, Olde Tudor Shopping Centre on Bass Highway in Launceston. The winner has chosen to remain anonymous.

Manager of Prospect Lotto, Michael Di Guglielmo, said the shop is buzzing following the win.

“This is the first time we’ve sold a division one TattsLotto win so all of the staff are very excited,” Mr Di Guglielmo said.

“We look forward to seeing our customers have many more wins in the future!

“If I could offer one piece of advice to this winner it would be to enjoy the prize money and make it last.”

Throughout Australia, there were eight entries that won a first division share of TattsLotto’s estimated $4 million division one prize pool on 13 July 2013, each worth $516,449.07. Along with two winning entries sold in Victoria, there were three in Queensland, one in Tasmania and two in Western Australia.

The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 3337 on Saturday 13 July, 2013 were 9, 14, 37, 40, 27 and 5 with the supplementary numbers 18 and 38.

Players have more chances to win big this week with a $5 million Oz Lotto prize on offer on Tuesday and a $30 million Powerball jackpot on Thursday!
