Missing $10 million Powerball winner finally found!

Tuesday 25 June, 2013 - The search for the mystery multi-millionaire who won an amazing $10 million with an unregistered ticket in Powerball is over.

The winner, who wishes to remain completely anonymous, came forward today to claim their multi-million dollar prize 12 days after the draw!

NSW Lotteries spokesperson Belinda McDougall said the winner admitted they’ve known they were the mystery $10 million Powerball winner for a few days but waited until today to come forward to claim their prize.

“Because the winning ticket was not registered to a NSW Lotteries Players Club card, NSW Lotteries had no way of contacting the winner,” Ms McDougall said.

“Instead of being able to contact the winner to let them know they were a multi-millionaire, we had to wait for the winner to contact us.

“NSW Lotteries always recommends players register their entries to a NSW Lotteries Players Club card as it ensures their prize is secure and we can contact them directly with news of a division one win.”

The winning unregistered ticket was purchased from The Thistle Kiosk, Shop 49A in Westfield Woden Shopping Centre, Woden.

The ACT winner was the only division one winner nationally in Powerball draw 891 on 13 June 2013. The winning numbers were 11, 38, 12, 25, 24 and 13; the Powerball was number 7.

There is another chance to win big this week with $30 million up for grabs in Saturday’s $30 Million Mid-Year Megadraw on 29 June!
