Darwin man claims TattsLotto prize!

Tuesday 25 June, 2013 - A man who hails from Leanyer in Darwin has finally claimed his first division TattsLotto prize of $575,256.48, more than a week after the draw!

The man in his 50s told a Tatts official that he didn’t realise he had won as he didn’t check his TattsLotto tickets until he returned to the Karama Newsagency the following Saturday to buy an entry in the next draw.

“I only buy TattsLotto tickets on Saturdays and I had no idea that there had been a win in the area,” the winning man said.

“I didn’t follow the news much last week obviously!”

The winner said he won’t make any rash decisions about how to spend his prize of more than half a million dollars.

“I’d like to upgrade my car but otherwise I’ll just put aside most of the money to think about things for a few months,” he said.

“I’ll leave it in a term deposit perhaps so it can earn some interest, then I might do some travelling down the track.”

The man purchased his winning 36-game QuickPick TattsLotto entry from Karama Newsagency, Shop 17 in Karama Shopping Centre, Kalymnos Drive, Karama.

Throughout Australia, there were seven entries that won a first division share of TattsLotto’s estimated $4 million division one prize pool on 15 June 2013, each worth $575,256.48.

Along with the winning entry in the Northern Territory, four winning entries were sold in Victoria, and one each in New South Wales and South Australia.

The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 3329 on Saturday 15 June, 2013 were 16, 4, 1, 17, 21 and 15 with the supplementary numbers 42 and 40.

Tickets are now on sale for TattsLotto’s $30 Million Mid-Year Megadraw this Saturday 29 June, so buy your entry in-store or online at Tatts.com for your chance to start the new financial year on the right foot!
