NSW Lotteries still searching for $10 million Powerball winner!

Friday 21 June, 2013 - The hunt continues for the mystery millionaire who won an amazing $10 million with an unregistered entry in last Thursday’s Powerball draw!

NSW Lotteries has been waiting since last week for the winner who purchased their entry in the ACT to come forward and claim their multi-million dollar prize.

NSW Lotteries spokesperson Belinda McDougall said because the ticket was not registered to a NSW Lotteries Players Club Card, NSW Lotteries has no way of contacting the $10 million winner.

“It’s quite possible that the winner isn’t even aware that they are now a multi-millionaire,” Ms McDougall said.

“We are encouraging customers who purchased a ticket in Powerball draw 891 in Woden to check their wallets, handbags, pockets, glove boxes, drawers and even on the fridge door for the winning ticket.

“NSW Lotteries always recommends customers register their entries to a NSW Lotteries Players Club Card as it ensures their prize is secure and we can contact them directly with news of a big win.

“If you have checked your entry and think you may be holding the winning ticket, ensure that you keep it in a safe place and contact NSW Lotteries as soon as possible to begin the prize claim process.”

The winning ticket was purchased from The Thistle Kiosk, Shop 49A in Westfield Woden Shopping Centre, Woden.

Owner Graham Barker said the outlet has had a long line of customers checking their tickets in the hope that they are the mystery Powerball winner.

“We've had a great response from our customers who are all very excited and happy for the winner!” Mr Barker exclaimed.

“A lot of people have been trying to guess who might be holding that winning ticket.”

The ACT winner was the only division one winner nationally in last week’s Powerball draw 891. The winning numbers were 11, 38, 12, 25, 24 and 13; the Powerball was number 7.

There are more chances to win big next week with $60 million up for grabs. There’s $30 million on offer in Tuesday’s Oz Lotto Jackpot and next Saturday’s $30 million Mid-year Megadraw on 29 June!
