Ballina Grandmother overwhelmed after Wednesday Lotto win!

Thursday 13 June, 2013 - A Ballina Grandmother was glad she was sitting down when she was told by NSW Lotteries she was $1,000,000 richer after winning division one in last night’s Wednesday Lotto draw!

The shocked pensioner was completely unaware she was a millionaire until she checked her ticket at the outlet this morning.

“I saw the sign saying they’d sold division one last night and I asked, ‘Is that mine? They haven’t told me yet,’ but I was only joking!” the ecstatic winner explained.

“Then they checked my ticket and said to me, ‘It probably is you,’ and I replied, ‘Don’t joke about that.’

“Oh I can’t believe it. Thank you, this is more than I can take.

“You know I’m not a drinker but I think I’m going to have to have some bubbles to celebrate!”

The happy winner, who has chosen to remain anonymous, said she knows exactly what she’ll do with the money.

“I’ve had plans for a long, long time. Firstly though, I’m going to help out my family,” the winner said.

The winning 12-game QuickPick was purchased at Ballina Fair Newsagency, Shop 14 in Ballina Fair Shopping Centre, 86 Kerr Street, Ballina.

Owners Annie and Greg Davey are overjoyed that another one of their customers has won division one.

“I think this is the third time we’ve sold a division one winning entry over $1 million!” Mrs Davey said.

“I was only jokingly saying the other day that we were about due for another first division win.”

The winning numbers in Monday and Wednesday Lotto draw 3251 on 12 June 2013 were 7, 31, 8, 13, 5 and 22 with the supplementary numbers of 45 and 43.
