The Roosters  may have won five of their past six matches but they will treat the struggling Panthers  with the utmost respect when the clubs meet at Allianz Stadium on Sunday afternoon. Penrith has been the Roosters bogey side in recent times, winning four of the past six meetings between the pair, including both clashes last season.

Coach Trent Robinson has named an unchanged squad for the Roosters but Penrith will be without Sam McKendry from the team that recorded just its second win of the season with a 44-12 victory against Parramatta last week, with front rower Sam McKendry ruled out with a neck injury.

1st Tryscorer

The Roosters have attacking weapons right across the field but one man that has stood out in the opening stoushes of the season is Sonny Bill Williams . He has already scored four tries in 2013 and is one of the most dangerous runners in the game on the edge of the ruck.

David Simmons  is the Panthers leading tryscorer this season, with a brace against the Eels last week taking his 2013 tally to five. He was the recipient of several well placed Luke Walsh kicks in that match and Penrith is likely to try that route to the tryline again.

Prediction

Penrith has had the wood over the Roosters recently but this a much improved tri-colours outfit to that of previous seasons. The Roosters have won their past four matches by a combined margin of 110 points and should have too much firepower right across the park for the Panthers. Sydney Roosters 13+
