Sydney man knocks off early after Saturday Lotto win!

Monday 27 May, 2013 - A Sydney man from the Eastern suburbs told his boss that he was heading home for the day after being contacted by a NSW Lotteries official informing him that his entry in the weekend’s Lotto draw was a division one winning entry!

The exciting winner giggled with delight after confirming his Saturday Lotto entry had won a share in Saturday Lotto’s division one worth $831,755.16.

“My heart’s been beating out of my chest since you called,” the ecstatic winner told a NSW Lotteries official.

“I’ve always waited for this phone call. However, when you did call I first thought it was a prank call! It didn’t take me long to realise it wasn’t.

“While I used birthdays to pick my regular Saturday Lotto numbers, the game that actually won first division is made up of random numbers that I chose.”

The family man, who has chosen to remain anonymous, said the first thing they’ll do with the winnings is pay off the mortgage.

The winning 6-game marked ticket was purchased from Central Pyrmont Newsagency Harris Street, 160 Harris Street in Pyrmont.

Throughout Australia, there were five entries that won a first division share of Saturday Lotto’s estimated $4 million division one prize pool, each worth $831,755.16. Along with the winning entry from Pyrmont, another winning entry was purchased in New South Wales, Queensland had a winning syndicate entry, and two winning tickets were sold in Western Australia.

The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 3323, on 25 May 2013 were 15, 36, 16, 1, 20 and 31 with the supplementary numbers 2 and 38.
