The Melbourne Vixens will look to get back to winning ways when they tackle the Southern Steel at Hisense Arena in Round 10 of the ANZ Championship on Monday night. The Vixens relinquished top spot on the ladder with their 11 goal loss to the Queensland Firebirds last weekend and face another difficult assignment this weekend against the Steel.
The Kiwi based side has been the big improvers in the Trans-Tasman competition this season and are well and truly in the hunt for a finals berth having won five of their opening eight matches of the campaign to be fourth on the ladder. Jamaican shooter Jhaniele Fowler is leading scorer in 2013 and Vixens captain Bianca Chatfield could have the job of trying to keep her in check after she shot 44 from 46 against Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic in Round nine.
