Friday 10 May, 2013 - One Tasmanian couple will be poring over travel brochures this weekend now that they’ve claimed their TattsLotto prize of $832,269.66 from last Saturday’s draw!
Tatts spoke to the winning wife from the couple this afternoon about their TattsLotto windfall.
“It’s still sinking in, we can’t believe it!” the winning woman said.
“I checked the TattsLotto numbers in the newspaper on Sunday and I said to my husband, ‘What does it mean if I have six numbers here?’ and he said ‘I think you’ve won TattsLotto!’” she laughed.
“We were already thinking about retiring and now we can do it sooner.
“We never expected our retirement would be like this – we’ll be able to travel wherever we like. I can start dreaming now of all the places I’d like to see.”
The couple purchased their winning 36-game QuickPick TattsLotto entry from Centre Newsagency and Lotto, Woolworths Arcade at 74 Best Street, Devonport.
The Centre Newsagency and Lotto Tatts outlet has sold three TattsLotto prizes worth a total of $2.95 million in under 18-months! Along with the most recent TattsLotto prize of $832,269.66, the outlet sold another winning entry worth $695,978.36 in January 2012 and one worth $1,428,571.43 was purchased there in December.
Throughout Australia, there were five entries that won a first division share of TattsLotto’s estimated $4 million division one prize pool, each worth $832,269.66. There were two winning entries sold in Tasmania, and one each in Queensland, Victoria and Western Australia.
The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 3317 on 4 May 2013 were 12, 35, 30, 2, 13 and 20 with the supplementary numbers 7 and 1.
