Fullback Matt Bowen returns from a knee injury for the Cowboys  clash with the Raiders  at Townsville on Saturday night, with his side desperate for two points after winning just two of its opening six matches. Hardworking lock Dallas Johnson is also added to the squad that lost 12-10 to the Broncos a fortnight ago, having missed the Queensland derby with concussion.

Paul Vaughan and Jake Foster will debut for the Raiders with David Shillington and Josh Papalii both out injured, while club captain Terry Campese will again come off the bench after playing 50 minutes in his side’s 20-16 victory of New Zealand in round six.

1st Tryscorer

Ashley Graham  may have only played four matches this season but has made an impact every time that he has taken the field. He is one of the best finishers in the competition and is just one try short of 100 in his 151 match NRL career.

Former Panthers winger Sandor Earl  made a slow start to the season but is starting to regain his best form again now, with three tries in his past four matches.

Prediction

Although they have won only two matches this season, North Queensland has had to travel away from Townsville in four of the opening six rounds. They have a strong home record and back at 1300SMILES Stadium they should have too much firepower for the Raiders, who have lost four in a row on the road. North Queensland Cowboys 13+
