19-year-old Beaconsfield woman wins TattsLotto!

Friday 26 April, 2013 - Do you remember what present you got for your 19th birthday? Chances are it wasn’t a TattsLotto prize worth more than $660,000 but that is just what one young woman from Beaconsfield received when she turned 19 on the weekend!

The winner claimed her prize from Tatts today after finally checking the TattsLotto ticket she received as a gift.

“My mum’s friend gave me a TattsLotto ticket for my birthday on the weekend. I don’t normally play TattsLotto so I didn’t even think to check it until the end of this week,” the winning woman said.

“I looked up the results online with my mobile phone at the kitchen table and mum was laughing at me while I was checking off the numbers on the ticket.

“Mum said, ‘You look so serious, like you really think you might win!’ and then I screamed because I had all the winning numbers!

“It’s crazy. The only time I’ve ever bought a ticket for myself was to celebrate my 18th birthday because I was legal!

“I’ve already told my mum’s friend that I won first division. She’s really excited for me, and I’m going to give her a pretty good birthday present this year too!” the winner said.

The young winner said she has a number of plans for how to use her $662,891.11 division one prize.

“I’m going overseas later this year and I’ll shout my parents and my boyfriend flights to meet me there so we can holiday together. I’ll also buy my first car and look at buying a unit that I can rent out for a while.

“My friends can’t believe it but they’re really excited for me too. They’re probably a little bit jealous as well!”

The winning 36-game QuickPick TattsLotto entry was purchased from Well Star Lotto & News, Shop 111 at The Well, 793 Burke Road in Camberwell.

The young woman wasn’t the only Beaconsfield resident to win TattsLotto on the weekend, as a Beaconsfield couple also claimed a division one prize in the same draw with an entry purchased from Beaconsfield Village Lotto, Shop 16 in Beaconsfield Village Shopping Centre.

Throughout Australia, there were six entries that won a first division share of TattsLotto’s estimated $4 million division one prize pool on 20 April, each worth $662,891.11. Along with the four winning entries in Victoria, there was one purchased in New South Wales and another in Queensland.

The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 3313 on 20 April 2013 were 7, 10, 41, 34, 28 and 44 with the supplementary numbers 14 and 8.
