Manchester United  can secure its thirteen Premier League title with a win over Aston Villa  at Old Trafford on Tuesday morning (AEST). With crosstown rivals Manchester City losing to Tottenham on the weekend, the Red Devils are 13 points clear at the top of the table with just five matches remaining.

Ashley Young is unavailable to face his former club for the Red Devils after being ruled out for the rest of the season with an ankle injury, while veteran midfielder Paul Scholes is still recovering from a knee injury. Mexican striker Javier Hernandez came off the bench to score a brace in United’s 3-2  win over the Villans at Villa Park in November and could get a rare start in the League.

Paul Lambert is already without Chris Herd, Marc Albrighton, Gary Gardener and Richard Dunne through injury for the visitors, but could get forward Gabriel Agbonlahor back after he missed last week’s 1-1  draw against Fulham with a groin injury. Still locked in a relegation battle, Aston Villa will be desperate to avoid defeat, while an unlikely win would see both Reading and QPR relegated from the top flight.

Manchester United has lost just one of its past 21 fixtures in the Premier League and has 14 wins from sixteen top flight matches at Old Trafford during the current campaign, but Villa did manage a 3-1 win over Stoke in its most recent away match.
