The Queensland Firebirds  will be bidding to maintain their unbeaten start to the 2013 ANZ Championship netball season when they take on the Sydney Swifts  in round four on Monday night. While the Firebirds completed their two match tour of New Zealand with a resounding 21 goal victory over the Northern Mystics last week, the Swifts return across the Tasman empty handed from their two games against Waikato BOP Magic and Central Pulse.

While they will undoubtedly be improved for getting back on their home court at the Sydney Olympic Park Sports Centre, where they beat West Coast Fever by 14 goals in round one, the Swifts are likely to have their hands full containing Queensland’s goal scoring ace Romelda Aiken. The 24 year-old Jamaican has been simply awesome in the current campaign, scoring 143 goals including 56 last week. Experienced defenders Mo’onia Gerrard and Sonia Mkoloma will be tasked with stopping the flow of possession that Aiken gets from Natalie Medhurst and Chelsea Pitman, with Australian attacker Susan Pratley looking to match the Jamaicans goal scoring.

LIVE on Fox Sports 2 at 7.30pm (AEST).
