Mosman man wins $10,000 second chance...twice!

Wednesday 6 March, 2013 - A Mosman man is still in shock after learning that his $2 non-winning Scratch-Its tickets and NSW Lotteries Scratch eClub second chance draw has won him two second chance prizes totalling $20,000!

The man’s original windfall was a result of a special Scratch eClub promotion, which gave customers the chance to win $10,000 every day for one month.

Recalling news of his first win the man said recent weeks have been just been crazy.

“When I found out I had won $10,000 my head was spinning. I thought $10,000 wasn’t a bad prize to win from a non-winning Scratch-Its ticket that cost me $2,” he said.

Still recovering from the shock of the first win, the man was in utter disbelief when he was told the next month that he had won another $10,000!

“It was such a shock!” he exclaimed.

“You don’t even expect this kind of thing to happen once in a lifetime but twice in two months is just unbelievable.

“I told my neighbour when I won the first time and he didn’t believe me. You can imagine what he said when I told him that I’d won again the next month,” he laughed.

The man has already used some of his $20,000 windfall to pay bills and buy his family gifts.

Every month Scratch eClub members are given the chance to turn their eligible non-winning NSW Lotteries Scratch-Its ticket into a winner. Scratch eClub is free to join and there are often a number of prizes to be won each month.

Players simply need to register as a Scratch eClub member online at

NSW Lotteries Public Relations Manager Elissa Lewis said that the Scratch eClub monthly second chance draws are a great way for members to have additional chances to win.

“Scratch eClub members just need to enter their eligible non-winning NSW Lotteries Instant Scratch-Its tickets into the monthly second chance draw for another chance to win,” Ms Lewis said.

“Just don’t forget to hold onto your ticket, you will need it to claim your prize,” she added.

“There’s $10,000 up for grabs in the March draw so get scratching!”
