Monday 4 March, 2013 - A regular shopper at Queen Victoria Market has thanked the universe for sending him a first division TattsLotto prize worth $584,085.18!
The man was taken aback when he received the official phone call from Tatts with the news today.
“This is Tatts? Really?” he said incredulously, thinking for a moment he was the subject of a prank.
“Wow. I buy my veggies and TattsLotto entries from the Queen Victoria Market every week,” he said.
“I always buy my tickets from Vic Market Lotto, I like the guy there – they deserve a good plug for this win.”
The man said he will take some time to think on what he can do with his half a million dollar windfall.
“I’ll let the universe speak to me about what I should do with the prize money. I’ll take some time to meditate on these big decisions,” he explained.
“I’m interested in starting a business which helps introduce new technology to the community, so this money will allow me to explore my options.”
The winning 12-game QuickPick entry was purchased from Vic Market Lotto, Lot 4 at Queen Victoria Market in Melbourne’s CBD.
Throughout Australia, there were seven entries that won a first division share of TattsLotto’s estimated $4 million division one prize pool on the weekend, each worth $584,085.18. Along with the Melbourne CBD entry, there were two more winning tickets purchased in Victoria in Castlemaine and Warrnambool, along with two in Queensland and one each in New South Wales and South Australia.
The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 3299 on 2 March 2013 were 42, 18, 20, 13, 43 and 11 with the supplementary numbers 12 and 30.
