$1.49 million surprise in store for Glen Waverley wife!

Monday 25 March, 2013 - A family from Glen Waverley is $1.49 million richer after winning a first division prize in TattsLotto’s $25 million Superdraw on the weekend!

The winning father in his 40s who purchased the entry told a Tatts official today that he can’t wait to surprise his wife with the cheque bearing both their names.

“I don’t buy TattsLotto tickets every week, just in the larger Superdraws when they come up,” the winner explained excitedly.

“So I grabbed a ticket in this Superdraw last week but I actually forgot to mention it to my wife.

“My wife doesn’t know we won more than one million dollars – I can’t wait to show her the cheque!” he exclaimed.

“We’ll be able to pay off the mortgage and go on a holiday overseas together.”

The winning System 10 QuickPick TattsLotto entry was purchased from Box Hill Central Lotto in Box Hill. The man will claim multiple divisional prizes from his System 10 entry, amounting to a total prize of $1,494,654.84. The winners have chosen to remain anonymous.

Box Hill Central Lotto also sold 10 winning shares in a TattsLotto syndicate with 120 shares which split a first division prize on the weekend, each share worth $13,584.92.

Throughout Australia, there were 17 entries that won a first division share of TattsLotto’s $25 million Superdraw division one prize pool on the weekend, each worth $1,470,588.24.

There were seven winning entries in Victoria, along with four winning entries purchased in New South Wales, two each in Queensland and Western Australia, and one each in South Australia and the Northern Territory.

The six other winning entries purchased in Victoria were from Werribee Plaza Lotto Kiosk in Werribee, Waverley Gardens Lotto in Mulgrave, University Hill Lucky Lotto in Bundoora, Drysdale Lotto in Drysdale, Williams Newsagency Ballarat and Tatts.com online.
