“We’ve cracked it!” – Work syndicate wins first division!

Thursday 21 March, 2013 - After playing Lotto for more than 20 years, a work syndicate is celebrating after winning division one and other divisional prizes totalling $1,005,364.30 in Wednesday Lotto.

The syndicate leader is on holidays and was completely unaware of the division one win until he checked the syndicate’s ticket at an outlet today.

“I can’t wait to call everyone and say ‘are you sitting down because we’ve cracked it!’” the team leader told a NSW Lotteries official after hearing the good news.

“We’ve been playing for more than 20 years and never won more than a couple of hundred dollars. This makes it worth the wait!

“I’m going to look after my mortgage and get a new car because mine is falling apart. It’s been tied up with masking tape!” the winner exclaimed.

The winning System 8 entry was purchased from Bermagui South Newsagency, 16 Lamont Street in Bermagui.

NSW Lotteries spokesperson Belinda McDougall said players still have a chance to win big this week with $25 million up for grabs in this Saturday’s Superdraw!

“Syndicates are a great way to increase your chances of winning a share in $25 million,” Ms McDougall said.

“By forming a syndicate with family, friends or work colleagues, you can split the cost of a larger Superdraw entry therefore have more chances of becoming a winner!"

Tickets for Saturday Lotto’s $25 million Superdraw are still available at NSW Lotteries outlets or from Tatts.com.

There were two $1,000,000 division one winning entries from New South Wales in last night’s Wednesday Lotto draw. The winning numbers in Wednesday Lotto, draw 3227, on 20 March 2013 were 13, 15, 39, 27, 8, and 40 with the supplementary numbers 10 and 31.
