**TattsBet $79,961 Quadrella Jackpot (SR5, SR6, SR7 & SR8)**
Wenona Girl Handicap (SR5)
– Choice Words wasn’t beaten far behind Steps In Time and Red Tracer in the Breeders Classic at Rosehill last month and will find this event much easier. She goes on any ground and will be hard to beat off the minimum weight. Embark was knocking on the door in this sort of race twelve months ago and was a good winner first up at Moonee Valley in February and always gives her best, while Ladys Angel and Miss Stellabelle are the class runners at the top of the weights.
Selections: Choice Words, Miss Stellabelle, Embark, Ladys Angel
Randwick Guineas (SR6)
– Despite the absence of superstar colts Pierro and All Too Hard, a strong field is set to contest the first Group One race for three year-olds during the Autumn carnival. Rebel Dane was just a nose behind Pierro in the Hobartville Stakes at Rosehill two weeks ago but could struggle to beat home a pair of horses that finished immediately behind him in that event. Both Proisir and It’s A Dundeel were having the first start of their campaign in that race and should have come on enough for that run to improve past Gary Portelli’s star galloper, who is ideally drawn in barrier one. Proisir will be much closer in the run than It’s A Dundeel and should be ideally suited to the mile, while Murray Baker’s stable star could well find this a tad too short with an eye on him being trained to peak for the Derby next week. Sacred Falls has won at the top level over this trip in New Zealand and warrants respect, while the fact that stable jockey Kerrin McEvoy has elected to ride Tatra from Peter Snowden’s three runners could be a lead to their best chance in the race.
Selections: Proisir, It’s A Dundeel, Rebel Dane, Tatra
Challenge Stakes (SR7)
– Hay List is the only horse to have ever truly tested Black Caviar but has raced just three times in almost two years following a serious of injury problems. Although he won a trial at Randwick last month, he could be vulnerable here having his first start for almost a year. Tiger Tees is one of the most honest horses in training and is sure to run a good race from the inside gate, while he won’t be inconvenienced if the forecast rain arrives. Mrs Onassis warrants respect having won a Group One at her last start, as does Snitzerland, who wasn’t beaten far in the Coolmore Stud Stakes during the Melbourne spring carnival and goes well fresh. Fire Thunderbolt was only just behind her when they met at Caulfield in October and isn’t without a hope a big odds.
Selections: Tiger Tees, Snitzerland, Hay List, Fire Thunderbolt
Aspiration Quality (SR8)
– Jade Marauder has form around Group One winners Dear Demi and Norzita, and that should be good enough to ensure she is competitive in a race like this. Quietly ridden in her past two starts, she will be better suited over a mile here and will be hard to hold out. Nocturnelle flopped last time out but her first up run on a heavy track may have flattened her and she can be excused for that performance, while the same could be said of Colorado Claire. Shamardani has run well here in the past and should be in the mix despite drawing wide.
Selections: Jade Marauder, Nocturnelle, Shamardani, Colorado Claire
