Queensland's newest millionaires celebrating!

Thursday 14 March, 2013 - A Brisbane family was let off the hook by a Golden Casket official with confirmation they were Queensland’s newest millionaires after winning division one and other divisional prizes totalling $1,011,142.45 in Wednesday Gold Lotto.

“I’ve been waiting for your call this morning!” the nervous winner exclaimed.

“We’ve been playing those numbers for years and they’ve finally come up!

“To think we nearly gave up on them recently and considered changing them!” the winner exclaimed.

While the regular player clutched the winning ticket overnight, they admitted they really hadn’t thought too much about what they’ll do with the money.

The registered winning division one ticket in Wednesday Gold Lotto was purchased at Rainworth News, 198 Boundary Road at Bardon.

Owner Viet Tran was over the moon that he’d sold the winning ticket in Wednesday Gold Lotto.

“This is the first time that we’ve sold a division one entry in the nine years that we’ve owned the newsagency,” an excited Mr Tran said.

“I must admit when I saw that we’d sold the winning entry, I said to my wife ‘quick, quick, quick check our ticket.’

“But we’re so overjoyed that one of our customers is the winner. They’re all so deserving and we’re happy for them,” Mr Tran said.

There could be more Queensland Millionaires with Saturday Gold Lotto $25 million Superdraw on 23 March! Tickets are on sale now from all Golden Casket outlets and online at Tatts.com.

The winning numbers in Wednesday Gold Lotto, draw 3302, were 36, 23, 26, 12, 35 and 7 with the supplementary numbers 44 and 19.
