Factory workers happy with TattsLotto win after Collingwood loss!

Wednesday 13 March, 2013 - A group of 10 factory workers will split a first division TattsLotto prize of $404,818.02 from the weekend! The unregistered winners came forward to Tatts today to claim their prize.

The leaders of the work syndicate spoke to a Tatts official today about their surprise win.

“I actually knew we’d won late on Saturday night because I checked the numbers,” one of the leaders explained.

“I was feeling pretty upset about Collingwood’s loss to the Lions in the NAB Cup so I went on the internet to check the TattsLotto numbers and see if we had any luck there.

“I read those six winning numbers out and called the rest of the guys from work straight away!

“It was real good news after a rubbish footy game.”

The informal work syndicate is made up of 10 men and women between the ages of 35 and 60.

“We’re all thinking about paying off debt and going on holiday with the $40,000 we’ll each get,” one of the syndicate leaders added.

The winning 15-game marked TattsLotto entry was purchased from Reservoir News & Lotto, 36 Edward Street in Reservoir.

The winners have chosen not to publically identify themselves.

Tatts Spokesperson Zoe Knobel said there will be many more happy Victorian winners after TattsLotto’s upcoming Superdraw, and there are bound to be AFL fans among them.

“TattsLotto’s $25 million Superdraw is next weekend, Saturday 23rd of March,” Ms Knobel said.

“The Fremantle Dockers and West Coast Eagles will be playing that night, so we’ll see if fans of either of those teams has a win off the field with TattsLotto this time!

“Tickets in TattsLotto’s $25 million Superdraw are on sale now from all Tatts outlets and online at Tatts.com,” Ms Knobel added.

Throughout Australia, there were 10 entries that won a first division share of TattsLotto’s estimated $4 million division one prize pool on the weekend, each worth $404,818.02. Along with the five Victorian entries, there were also two winning entries purchased in Tasmania, along with one each in Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia.

The four other winning entries purchased in Victoria were from Central Lotto in Altona Meadows, Middle Brighton Newsagency in Brighton, Normanby News & Lotto in Thornbury and Raymond Street Lotto in Sale.
