Marayong mother claims $1 million Plumpton prize!

Friday 8 February, 2013 - Four days after the draw took place a woman from Marayong has claimed her $1 million Monday Lotto prize from a ticket purchased in Plumpton!

The mother of three contacted NSW Lotteries today to claim her $1,000,000 division one windfall and was still in shock after checking the winning numbers.

NSW Lotteries spokesperson Zoe Knobel said the winner was overwhelmed.

“The winning mother expressed her excitement at winning the prize but was truly lost for words at the news,” Ms Knobel said.

“That’s something I think we can all understand. You would probably feel the same if you had suddenly become a millionaire this week!”

The winning ticket was purchased from Plumpton Marketplace Newsagency, Shop T19 on Jersey Road, Plumpton.

“If the winner had registered their ticket to a NSW Lotteries Players Club card we would have phoned them with the good news. However in this case the winner was completely unaware of their new millionaire status until they checked their ticket today,” Ms Knobel added.

The winning numbers in Monday Lotto, draw 3214, on 4 February 2013 were 31, 7, 43, 15, 16 and 30 with the supplementary numbers 20 and 42.

There are more chances to win big this weekend with Saturday Lotto’s $20 million Superdraw on Saturday 9 February, and tickets are on sale now from all NSW Lotteries outlets and online at Tatts.com.

“Wouldn’t it be nice to win a share in Saturday Lotto’s $20 million Superdraw? It would be like all your favourite experiences rolled into one exciting moment,” Ms Knobel said.
