Unbeaten South Australian speedster Miracles Of Life  can score a win for the underdogs if she can take out the Blue Diamond Stakes at Caulfield on February 23. Prepared by unheralded Morphettville handler Daniel Clarken, Miracles Of Life is unbeaten in three starts, having won her races by a combined margin of 19 lengths. Apprentice Lauren Stojakovic has been on board for all three victories, including her last start 4.5 length win in the Listed Fillies Blue Diamond Preview, and keeps the mount despite the fact a host of senior jockeys put their hands up for the ride. The filly’s rise through the ranks is perhaps best illustrated by the fact connections have to pay a late nomination fee of $55,000 just to enter the race as she was not amongst the initial acceptances taken by the Melbourne Racing Club.

Her main rivals could come from the powerful Darley stable, who have a strong hand in the event with Group 3 winner Guelph  and unbeaten filly Metastasio . Both have emerged as legitimate rivals in the past few weeks, with the former devastating in her Caulfield win on Orr Stakes day.

After winning the 2009 renewal of the race with Reward For Effort, champion trainer Peter Moody and leading hoop Luke Nolen rely on Thermal Current , who had no luck when finishing third at Caulfield on Australia Day.
