‘Decent holiday’ on the horizon for Beresfield Lotto winner!

Monday 25 February, 2013 - A retired local man is planning to take his first holiday in 15 years after winning a first division prize of $512,531.51 in Saturday’s Lotto draw!

The winner was in shock when he received the good news that he’d won a share in the $4 million division one Lotto prize pool from a NSW Lotteries official this morning.

“I’d always hoped to get this phone call but I never expected it,” he said.

“This is the best call I’ve ever had and I don’t care if I ever get another phone call again!”.

The retiree will celebrate his first division win with family tonight before he starts planning a long overdue international holiday.

“I haven’t had a decent holiday for 15 years so this is wonderful news,” the winner said.

The winning 18-game QuickPick entry was purchased from Beresfield Newsagency, 21 Lawson Street in Beresfield.

Throughout Australia, there were eight entries that won a first division share of Saturday Lotto’s $4 million division one prize pool on the weekend, each worth $512,531.51. Along with the winning entry purchased in New South Wales, there were three winning tickets purchased in Victoria, two in Queensland and two in Western Australia.

The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto, draw 3297, on 23 February 2013 were 8, 6, 13, 39, 29 and 34 with the supplementary numbers 20 and 9.
