New glasses for Wentworth Falls’ $10,000 second chance winner!

Thursday 21 February, 2013 - Mary from Wentworth Falls expressed her shock and amazement after her entry into NSW Lotteries Scratch eClub Second Chance draw won her $10,000.

When recalling news of her windfall Mary said it was just unbelievable.

“This money has literally saved my life!” she exclaimed.

“I haven’t been able to work due to an injury and I can’t get the pension for another two years so this win has come at the perfect time,” she added.

Mary doesn’t have any extravagant plans for the windfall.

“I live a pretty simple life, there’s not a lot that I need, just to pay some bills,” she said

“I’ll probably leave it in the bank, at least until I feel financially secure enough to spend a bit.”

When that time comes, she has considered a couple of items that she may need to replace.

“I should buy a new laptop as mine is at least 10 years old,” she told a NSW Lotteries official.

“Luckily, I can still manage to log onto the Scratch eClub website to enter my tickets but it won’t do much else.

“I also think it might be time to buy myself some new glasses as my current ones are being held together with tape,” Mary laughed.

Every month Scratch eClub members are given the chance to turn their eligible non-winning NSW Lotteries Scratch-Its ticket into a winner. Scratch eClub is free to join and there are often a number of prizes to be won each month.

Players simply need to register as a Scratch eClub member online at www.scratcheclub.com/nsw.

NSW Lotteries Public Relations Manager Elissa Lewis said that the Scratch eClub monthly second chance draws are a great way for members to have additional chances to win.

“Scratch eClub members just need to enter their eligible non-winning NSW Lotteries Instant Scratch-Its tickets into the monthly second chance draw for another chance to win,” Ms Lewis said.

“Just don’t forget to hold onto your ticket, you will need it to claim your prize,” she added.

“There’s $10,000 up for grabs in the February draw so get scratching!”
