Strathdale Grandfather wins $1.4 million TattsLotto prize!

Monday 18 February, 2013 - A Strathdale Grandfather won a $1.4 million first division prize in TattsLotto on the weekend!

The retired man said he was shocked when he read the TattsLotto draw results in the Sunday newspaper.

“I was sitting down reading the paper and flipped over to check the TattsLotto results. I knew the moment I saw them that those were my numbers; I recognised them because I’ve been playing the same ones for 40 years!” the winner said.

“I was a bit shaky after that.”

The winner said he has a few plans for how to use his total prize of $1,417,314.57.

“It’ll really come in handy. This kind of money can change your life a lot,” the winner said.

“I’ll help my children and grandchildren with some of the money, and also invest some for the future. We’ll all celebrate the news together soon too.”

The winning System 8 marked entry was purchased from Strath Lotteries, Shop 6 in Strath Village Shopping Centre on Condon Street, Strathdale.

Throughout Australia, there were three entries that won a first division share of TattsLotto’s estimated $4 million division one prize pool on the weekend, each worth $1,402,751.97. Along with the Strathdale entry, the two other winning tickets were also purchased in Victoria from outlets in Mildura and Fawkner.

The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 3295 on 16 February 2013 were 34, 16, 18, 1, 17 and 6 with the supplementary numbers 33 and 13.
