Manchester City’s away form hasn’t inspired confidence this season but Manuel Pellegrini’s side is a perfect seven from seven at Etihad Stadium, and it’s because of this record the sky blues can sneak to within three points of ladder leader Arsenal when the teams meet on Saturday night (AEST).

The Gunners have been in stunning form domestically, but they produced a disappointing effort in the 2-0 loss to Napoli in the Champions League midweek. Injuries to Abou Diaby and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (knee) are offset by the likely returns of Lukas Podolski and Bacary Sagna from hamstring issues.

Sergio Aguero is likely to return to the starting line-up after finding himself on the bench for the 3-2 away win over reigning titleholder Bayern Munich during the week. Stevan Jovetic is likely to be eased back in to the squad after recovering from a calf problem.

Arsenal has the best record of any Premier League side away from home picking up 16 of a possible 21 points. The Gunners have scored in all but one match on the road, and City will need to start well as the north London side has scored first in 13 of its 15 matches this campaign. City has scored a phenomenal 16 goals without conceding in its past three home games.
