Au revoir! Woman jets off to Paris with $10,000 second chance win!

Monday 9 December, 2013 - Imagine strolling down the Champs-Élysées taking in the Parisian atmosphere, dining on French cuisine 125 metres up the Eiffel Tower, or shopping in the most fashionable street in the world - Saint-Honoré.

For one Norman Park woman the dream of escaping to Paris has finally become a reality thanks to her $10,000 win in Golden Casket’s Scratch eClub Second Chance Draw.

It was a case of beginner’s luck for the woman in her 30’s who entered her non-winning Instant Scratch-Its $5 Crosswords ticket into the Monthly Second Chance Draw for the very first time this month.

The winning woman said she heard about the Scratch eClub from a work colleague.

“After hearing that I could win $10,000, I decided to join. I am so glad I did!” she exclaimed.

After the news of her win, the local couldn’t contain her excitement.

“I’m really blown away. I just never thought anything like this could happen to me,” she told a Golden Casket official.

“This money really is life changing for me. I have been saving half my life for a trip to Paris and now my dream has finally come true!”

The woman said that the windfall has come at a fantastic time and was a long-awaited surprise after a rough year.

“It’s been a really terrible year but now everything’s looking up, 2014 is going to be my year!” she exclaimed.

Every month Scratch eClub members are given the chance to turn their eligible non-winning Instant Scratch-Its tickets into a winner. Scratch eClub is free to join and there are often a number of prizes to be won each month.

Players can register as a Scratch eClub member online at www.scratcheclub.com.

Golden Casket Public Relations Manager Elissa Lewis said that the Scratch eClub Monthly Second Chance Draws are a great way for members to have additional chances to win.

Scratch eClub members just need to enter their eligible non-winning Instant Scratch-Its tickets into the Monthly Second Chance Draw for another chance to win,” Ms Lewis said.

“Just don’t forget to hold onto your ticket, you will need it to claim your prize,” she added.

“There is $10,000 up for grabs in the December draw so get scratching!”
