Tasmania's 2013 Lotto Hotspots revealed!

Monday 30 December, 2013 - Imagine starting the New Year off with a bang as one of the nation’s newest millionaires! One of TattsLotto’s most highly anticipated events is fast approaching with the $30 Million Megadraw on 4 January 2014.

With a massive $30 million up for grabs, wouldn’t it be nice to begin the New Year with a division one win and join those fortunate Tasmanians who have already experienced that winning feeling?

Ahead of TattsLotto’s $30 Million Megadraw, Tatts has revealed official statistics on lotto wins which occurred in the year spanning 1 December 2012 to 1 December 2013.

In the 12-months to 1 December 2013, Tasmanian players scored 11 division one prizes across all lotto products from Tatts, equating to more than $8.1 million in division one prize money!

The latest statistics released by Tatts reveal that the coveted title of ‘Tasmania’s 2013 Lotto Hotspot’ has been awarded to postcode 7250 (Launceston, Newstead, Prospect), where four (4) division one winning tickets were sold across all lotto games. Second place for ‘Tasmania’s 2013 Lotto Hotspot’ was claimed by postcode 7310 (Devonport) which sold two (2) division one winning tickets in 12-months.

The highest value prizes won in Tasmania between 1 December 2012 and 1 December 2013 were two TattsLotto Megadraw prizes worth $1.4 million purchased from Newstead and Devonport.

Refer to full tables of Lotto Hotspot results below.

Tatts spokesperson Zoe Knobel said that although postcode 7250 is the ‘Lotto Hotspot’ for Tasmania, it does not mean that a ticket purchased in that area has more chance of winning than any other ticket.

“It’s exciting to reveal where the most lotto wins occur each year, but it’s important to remember that every number on your ticket has an equal chance of being drawn, no matter where you buy your ticket,” Ms Knobel said.

“This year, 21 Australians began 2013 as winners, each scoring $1.4 million in TattsLotto’s $30 Million Megadraw. Two of those tickets were purchased in Tasmania, so we hope to see many more Megadraw winners in the state on 4 January.

“Imagine the New Year’s resolutions you could achieve by winning a share in TattsLotto’s $30 million Megadraw on 4 January!” Ms Knobel added.

Don’t forget to register your Megadraw ticket to your Tatts Card to ensure Tatts can contact you should you be one of the fortunate division one winners.
