Friday 27 December, 2013 - One winning entry from New South Wales has scooped the entire $50 million jackpot in last night’s Powerball draw!
Following seven weeks of jackpotting, the first division prize pool had risen to a massive $50 million.
The division one winning Powerball entry is not registered to a player’s card so the winner’s identity is a mystery.
Players who purchased their Powerball entries in New South Wales are encouraged to check their tickets as soon as possible to discover if they are now $50 million richer!
NSW Lotteries spokesperson Belinda McDougall said it’s possible the winner is completely unaware of their new multi-millionaire status.
“Unfortunately the winning entry was not registered to a NSW Lotteries Players Club card, so we have no way of contacting the winner to tell them they will be starting the New Year as a multi-millionaire,” Ms McDougall said.
“The message to customers is if you purchased an unregistered Powerball ticket to check it as soon as possible at either a NSW Lotteries outlet or online at www.nswlotteries.com.au.
“If you think you may have the winning ticket, we urge you to put it in a safe place and contact NSW Lotteries as soon as possible!
“Once they have claimed their multi-million dollar prize the winner is sure to ring in the New Year in style!”
The winning numbers in last night’s Powerball draw 919 were 16, 39, 7, 35, 3 and 25. The Powerball was number 13.
There’s another chance for customers to win big next week with $30 million up for grabs in Saturday Lotto’s $30 Million Megadraw.
