Liverpool Ready To Continue Goal-Spree

Since a shock 3-1 away loss to Hull City at the beginning of the month, Liverpool has found the net 14 times in three games. The golden run of goals began with a 5-1 thrashing of Norwich City at home. Again at Anfield, the Reds then thumped West Ham United 4-1 .

Despite those impressive hauls, even the staunchest Liverpool fans wouldn't have expected the goal-spree to continue when they travelled to London for a clash with Tottenham at White Hart Lane last weekend. However, a Luis Suarez double highlighted the 5-0 drubbing of Spurs, who have since sacked manager Andre-Villas Boas.

Cardiff City will at least take winning form into the encounter following a 1-0 home victory over West Brom. Before that, the form of the fifteenth-placed team was ordinary - three losses and two draws from five outings. Things didnt' get any better this week when owner Vincent Tan called on manager Malky Mackay to either resign or be stood down.  Realistically, Cardiff doesn’t have the defensive troops to curb the Merseyside’s firepower, which averages almost 2.5 goals per game so far this season. Youngster Daniel Sturridge is proving a good foil for Suarez up front with nine goals from 12 appearances. He’s been first scorer five times.
