$2 million Saturday Lotto winner will 'pay it forward'!

Monday 18 November, 2013 - A man who won more than $2 million in Saturday Lotto plans to ‘pay it forward’ and give more of his time to helping the community.

The man, who purchased his winning entry from Forestville Newsagency, said he was humbled by his division one win in the weekend’s draw.

“It feels really good,” the winner said when he was contacted by NSW Lotteries this morning.

“It’s come at a good time; many people will benefit from my win. I’m going to help my family and it means I can do more community work.

“I’ve realised that helping people is so rewarding.”

The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning 18-game QuickPick at Forestville Newsagency, Shop 53 in The Centre, Darley Street in Forestville.

Forestville Newsagency owner Alan Amery was thrilled to discover he’d sold a division one winning entry in Saturday Lotto.

“We’re on a roll! We sold division two in Oz Lotto last week worth $157,000!” Mr Amery said.

“Who knows what’s next; maybe we’ll sell the Lucky Lotteries Jackpot or division one in the $30 Million Megadraw.”

Throughout Australia, there were two entries that won a first division share of Saturday Lotto’s estimated $4 million prize pool, each worth $2,082,597.83. Along with the winning entry purchased in Forestville, the other winning ticket was sold in Western Australia.

The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 3373 on 16 November 2013 were 32, 8, 36, 5, 39 and 15 with the supplementary numbers of 42 and 9.

Meanwhile, ten NSW Lotteries players have an extra $1,000 in their pocket after winning in the first of four weekly cash prize draws in the Make the Opera House your House Competition.

Each winner picked up $1,000 by simply purchasing a ticket in Saturday Lotto draw on 9 November and entering the Make the Opera House your House Competition.

NSW Lotteries is proud to be a celebration partner of the Sydney Opera House’s 40th Anniversary and from Sunday 3 November until Saturday 30 November NSW Lotteries will contribute $1 from Saturday Lotto entries to the Sydney Opera House (up to $1 million).

NSW Lotteries’ Saturday Lotto customers can enter the exciting competition to win a VIP weekend staying at the Sydney Opera House and 40 x $1,000 cash prizes are also up for grabs.
