Wednesday 9 October, 2013 - A man has come forward to claim a $711,153.21 first division TattsLotto prize that was won in Orbost over a week ago!
The winner isn’t from the local area so said he was unaware that there had been a buzz around the town since last Saturday’s TattsLotto draw.
“I was in Orbost the other week visiting relatives and thought I’d buy a TattsLotto ticket there because it might change my luck, and it did!” the winning man exclaimed.
“I actually didn’t realise I’d won on the night because I was busy celebrating Hawthorn’s win in the AFL Grand Final, and hadn’t thought to check my ticket since,” he laughed.
“We’re going to plan a holiday away now to celebrate, and keep the rest of the prize money in savings.”
The winning 12-game TattsLotto entry was purchased from Orbost Authorised Newsagency, 154-156 Nicholson Street, Orbost.
Throughout Australia, there were six entries that won a first division share of TattsLotto’s estimated $4 million division one prize pool on 28 September, each worth $711,153.21. Along with two winning tickets purchased in Victoria, two winning entries were sold in Queensland, and another two in Western Australia.
The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 3359 on 28 September 2013 were 27, 34, 13, 37, 21 and 1 with the supplementary numbers of 15 and 45.
