Wednesday 9 October, 2013 - A pensioner couple in Horsham has claimed a TattsLotto prize worth $224,813.84!
The winning husband confessed that he was so excited when he saw the winning TattsLotto results in the newspaper that he couldn’t contain himself.
“I yelled out to my wife outside, ‘I think I’ve bloody won TattsLotto!’” the winning man said, in addition to using some other colourful language in his excitement!
“I haven’t had barely any sleep since,” he added.
The winners plan to do some home renovations with their prize money.
“We’ll spruce up the kitchen a bit and look at how we can invest some of the money,” he said.
“Our son’s also getting married soon so we’re glad we’ll be able to help with that.”
The winning System 8 entry was purchased from Horsham Lotto, 72 Firebrace Street in Horsham and the couple won a division one prize of $217,870.64 along with other divisional prizes for a total of $224,813.84.
Throughout Australia, there were 19 entries that won a first division share of TattsLotto’s estimated $4 million division one prize pool, each worth $217,870.64. Along with seven winning tickets purchased in Victoria, five winning entries were sold in Western Australia, four were purchased in South Australia, two were in Queensland and one was purchased in New South Wales.
The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 3361 on 5 October 2013 were 27, 11, 8, 31, 21 and 6 with the supplementary numbers of 19 and 30.
