Tuesday 8 October, 2013 - There are double celebrations in Queensland today with two division one winning entries from the Sunshine State in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw.
Brisbane couple have a great long weekend
A couple from the southside of Brisbane are reeling after they were informed by Golden Casket today they’d won more than $200,000 in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw.
“Are you sure you’re not pulling my leg?” the winning man asked.
The couple did take a little convincing before they finally accepted they’d won a share in division one and other divisional prizes totalling $224,813.84.
“Oh goodness! Can I write that amount down?
“We’ve been playing for years. We’ll have to sit down now and have a think about what will do with our winnings!”
The winning System 8 entry was purchased from Central Station Supanews, Central Station Concourse, Ann Street in Brisbane.
Wellington Point winner
A woman from the Wellington Point area is planning to say goodbye to her bills after the ticket she bought in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw won her a share in division one and other divisional prizes totalling $221,287.74.
“I’m sick of paying bills! So this will be great,” the exciting winner exclaimed.
“The money will come in very handy. Somebody is looking after me!”
The winning System 7 recorded coupon was purchased at Wellington Point News, Shop 2, 368 Main Road at Wellington Point.
Nineteen winners across Australia won a division one share in Saturday Gold Lotto’s estimated $4 million division one prize pool, each worth $217,870.64. Along with the two winning entries sold in Queensland, there were seven winning tickets sold in Victoria, four in South Australia, one in New South Wales, and five in Western Australia.
The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3361 on 5 October 2013 were 27, 11, 8, 31, 21 and 6 with the supplementary numbers 19 and 30.
