$1 million Monday Lotto winner nearly falls off his chair!

Tuesday 8 October, 2013 - A retired man from Grafton was shocked to discover he’s now a millionaire after winning division one in last night’s Monday Lotto draw!

The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, had trouble believing he’d won a first division prize of $1 million when NSW Lotteries contacted him today.

“I have? Oh my god!” the winner exclaimed.

“I’m just about ready to fall off my chair! I’ve always said one day I might win something big.”

The winner said his Monday Lotto windfall will come in handy and that he plans to spoil his grandchildren.

The winning 12-game QuickPick was purchased at Grafton Mall News, Shop 11 in Grafton Mall, King Street, Grafton.

Owners Allan and Joan Worland were elated when they found out they’d sold a first division entry in Monday Lotto.

“It’s terrific news! We’ve been here nearly four years and this is the first time we’ve sold a division one winning ticket,” Mr Worland said.

Throughout Australia, there were two entries that won a first division prize of $1 million in Monday Lotto. Along with the winning ticket purchased in Grafton, the other winning entry was sold in New South Wales.

The winning numbers in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3284 on Monday 7 October 2013 were 5, 9, 13, 40, 16 and 18 with the supplementary numbers of 8 and 10.

There is another chance for players to win big this week with Lucky Lotteries $5 Jackpot at more than $25 million for draw # 935 on Thursday!
