Friday 4 October, 2013 - An Everton Hills man is revving to buy a racing car after winning a division one share worth more than $710,000 in last weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw!
The winner, in his early 30s, was only prompted to check his unregistered entry after he was in his local Golden Casket outlet today.
“I saw the sign at the newsagent saying they’d sold a division one winning entry in Saturday Gold Lotto so I thought I better check my ticket,” the winner explained.
“When I got home though I had a few things to do so I washed the car and put on a few loads of washing.
“When I finally did check my ticket and realised I’d won first division, I let out a few expletives!
“I then got my brother to check my numbers and he was in total disbelief.
“My winning ticket had sat on my desk all week with all my junk,” the winner added.
The winning 10-game entry was purchased at Camelia Casket and News, Shop 8, 77 Camelia Avenue in Everton Hills.
“My numbers probably were special at some time but I just can’t remember now.”
“I’m not too sure what I’ll do with my windfall but I’ll probably buy a house and a race car!”
Golden Casket always recommends players register their lotto entries to a Golden Casket Winners Circle Card as it not only secures their prize, but also ensures they can be contacted directly with news of a division one win.
Throughout Australia, there were six entries that won a first division share in Saturday Gold Lotto’s estimated $4 million division one prize pool, each worth $711,153.21. Along with the two winning entries from Queensland, there were two winning tickets sold in Victoria, and another two were purchased in Western Australia.
The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3359 on 28 September 2013 were 27, 34, 13, 37, 21 and 1 with the supplementary numbers 15 and 45.
