Thursday 10 October, 2013 - The hunt continues for the mystery winner who picked up more than $470,000 in a Saturday Lotto draw on 14 September with an unregistered entry they purchased in Mulwala!
NSW Lotteries has been waiting more than three weeks for the winner who purchased their entry in the Riverina town to come forward and claim their first division prize.
NSW Lotteries spokesperson Belinda McDougall said because the ticket was not registered to a NSW Lotteries Players Club Card, NSW Lotteries has no way of contacting the winner to tell them the good news.
“We are asking customers who purchased a ticket in Saturday Lotto draw 3355 in Mulwala to check their handbags, wallets, drawers and even the glove box for any forgotten entries,” Ms McDougall said.
“Someone could be walking around with the winning ticket in the bottom of their bag and not even know that it’s worth $470,000!
“NSW Lotteries always recommends customers register their entries to a NSW Lotteries Players Club Card as it ensures their prize is secure and that we can contact them directly with news of a big win.
“If you have checked your entry and think you may be holding the winning ticket, ensure that you keep it in a safe place and contact NSW Lotteries as soon as possible to begin the prize claim process.”
The winning ticket was purchased from Mulwala Newspower, 47 Melbourne Street, Mulwala.
Throughout Australia there were nine entries that won a first division share of Saturday Lotto’s estimated $4 million division one prize pool on 14 September, each worth $472,444.65. Along with the winning ticket sold in Mulwala, a further two winning entries were purchased in New South Wales, four were sold in Queensland, and one each in Victoria and Western Australia.
The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 3355 on 14 September 2013 were 20, 28, 34, 11, 40 and 3 with the supplementary numbers of 25 and 39.
