One missing Queensland millionaire found! The second millionaire is still missing

Friday 4 January, 2013 - The mystery millionaire from Wednesday’s Gold Lotto draw 3282 who purchased their winning entry in Thuringowa has come forward to claim their $1 million prize.

The young man, who is soon to become a Dad, said he was unaware he was holding the winning ticket until he had it checked at a Golden Casket outlet this morning.

“I purchased my ticket on impulse as I don’t usually play Wednesday Gold Lotto but the guaranteed $1 million prize caught my eye,” he said excitedly.

“I didn’t expect to win so I am still in shock.

“I’m sitting down and having a coffee while I try and let the news sink in.”

The winner said he had some immediate plans for his newfound wealth.

“First I’ll buy a home that we can call our own and for the time being I’ll invest the rest for the future,” he said.

“I think it will take some time for me to get used to being a millionaire.”

The winner purchased his entry from Sunland Plaza News, Shop 5 Sunland Plaza, Hervey Range Road in Thuringowa.

Golden Casket Public Relations Manager Elissa Lewis said she’s pleased the winner has come forward to claim the prize.

“As the entry was not registered to a Winners Circle card, we had no way of contacting the winner to tell them the amazing news,” Ms Lewis added.

Gold Lotto players who purchased a ticket in draw 3281, Saturday’s Gold Lotto Megadraw, in the Brisbane suburb of Underwood are reminded to check their pockets and purses today for a division one winning ticket.

The holder of a winning entry purchased from Supanews Underwood is still a mystery. The missing customer has won more than $1.4 million.

The winning numbers in Wednesday Gold Lotto, draw 3282, were 9, 37, 13, 15, 39 and 4 with the supplementary numbers 14 and 3.

The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto’s $30 million Megadraw 3281 on 29 December 2012 were 25, 7, 35, 15, 37 and 14 with the supplementary numbers 20 and 3.
