No Ferrari for one syndicate winner; he’ll buy taxi licence instead!

Tuesday 29 January, 2013 - Twelve TattsLotto players across Melbourne have won $340,250.26 each in Saturday’s TattsLotto draw!

The players were part of a syndicate run across three different Tatts outlets in different suburbs; Werribee Plaza Lotto Kiosk, Thomastown News and Lotto, and Doncaster Lotto.

Each player purchased an entry for $39.01 into Saturday’s draw, and the syndicate took out the entire division one prize along with other divisional prizes equating to a total of $4,083,003.11.

Kevin Ung is the owner of Werribee Plaza Lotto Kiosk who started operating the cross-town syndicate around two and a half years ago and he said his customers are very happy with their win.

“A number of the customers in this syndicate play every week, while a few are casual players who don’t buy into syndicates regularly,” Mr Ung said.

“Unfortunately, one of the regular players decided to stop playing in the syndicate just before Christmas, so they have missed out on this major prize.

“We’ve had syndicates win before, but it’s usually in bigger TattsLotto events like Superdraws and Megadraws.

“To win the entire TattsLotto division one prize pool is certainly a surprise!” he added.

“One of the men who won on Saturday has actually won prizes in our syndicate wins twice before, but only $30,000 and $16,000 shares, nothing like this $340,000 share!

“The winners I’ve spoken to said they will do very different things. One winner will go on a cruise, one will buy an investment property, one will leave the money in a term deposit and another said he now plans on getting his taxi driver’s licence.”

The 12 winning syndicate shares were purchased from Werribee Plaza Lotto Kiosk, Cnr Derrimut and Heaths Roads, Werribee; Thomastown News and Lotto, 223 High Street, Thomastown; and Doncaster Lotto, Shop 104 in Westfield Doncaster.

The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 3289 on 26 January 2013 were 12, 6, 39, 25, 36 and 43 with the supplementary numbers 18 and 8.
