Sore melon for North Richmond’s latest $1 million winner!

Thursday 24 January, 2013 - North Richmond’s latest $1 million Monday Lotto winner has come forward to claim their prize and their brand new title of ‘millionaire’!

The prize has gone to a local worker who said he still cannot believe his good fortune.

“There are so many things going through my melon right now,” he said to a NSW Lotteries official today.

“It’s a bit overwhelming; I can’t fathom what I’ve won yet.

“I’m a pretty conservative sort of bloke so I won’t go out and spend the money like a lunatic.

“I reckon I’ll buy a nice house and some toys, like a car or two,” the winner said.

This is the second $1 million winning Monday Lotto ticket sold by North Richmond Newsagency in two weeks, with one on 7 January followed by this prize won on 21 January.

NSW Lotteries spokesperson Zoe Knobel said the winning man had not registered his Monday Lotto entry to a Players Club card so NSW Lotteries was unable to contact him with the good news after the draw earlier this week.

“Lotto players are encouraged to always register their lottery purchases to a NSW Lotteries Players Club card,” Ms Knobel said.

“Not only does registration ensure your prizes are secure it also ensures you can be contacted directly with news of a big win.”

The winning 10-game QuickPick ticket was purchased from North Richmond Newsagency, Shop 3 in Heritage Plaza, North Richmond.

The winning numbers in Monday Lotto, draw 3210, on Monday 21 January were 16, 33, 42, 15, 13 and 22 with the supplementary numbers 29 and 27.
