Monday 14 January, 2013 - A couple from Stawell who purchased their winning TattsLotto entry from an Ararat newsagency were waiting for the official phone call from Tatts this morning to confirm their $683,517.91 first division prize.
“I checked the TattsLotto numbers over the weekend and I’ve been waiting for your call to confirm I wasn’t dreaming!” the winning wife said to a Tatts official.
“We’ve discussed what we’ll do with this money and my husband and I would like to travel overseas, then invest a large part of it for our retirement.
“This money comes at a great time as each of us have only been putting money towards our super for 10-15 years and will think about retiring in the not-too-distant future, so this is a real boost to our superannuation fund,” she added.
The winning 12-game marked entry was purchased from Harris Newsagency, 150-152 Barkly Street in Ararat.
Another two division one prizes went to winning entries in Victoria. One went to a Sunbury family who purchased their winning TattsLotto entry from Sunbury Square Lotto, and another to a TattsLotto player who purchased their entry online from Tatts.com.
Throughout Australia, there were six winners who claimed a first division share of TattsLotto’s estimated $4 million division one prize pool on the weekend. Along with the three winning tickets purchased in Victoria, there was one each purchased in Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia.
The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 3285 on 12 January 2013 were 15, 31, 34, 6, 11 and 2 with the supplementary numbers 30 and 16.
