Tuesday 25 September, 2012 - A Boronia man has finally claimed his $301,887.01 prize from a Saturday TattsLotto draw after more than a week!
The 49-year-old man won a first division prize in TattsLotto draw 3251 on 15 September, but had forgotten to check his ticket, and as it wasn’t registered to a Tatts Card, Tatts could not contact him to share the good news.
When he spoke with Tatts after checking his ticket today, he was ecstatic.
“I just came back to the newsagent to buy my next TattsLotto entry today so checked my old tickets at the same time,” he explained.
“I can’t believe that I’m the missing winner who Tatts has been trying to find!
“It’s too soon to say exactly what we’ll do with the money, but I’d say we’ll pay off the mortgage, buy some news cars which we desperately need, and take a really good holiday.”
As for how he will celebrate, the winner said he and his family have football fever.
“We had been hoping to get to the NRL Grand Final in Sydney this weekend to support our team the Melbourne Storm, but we couldn’t do it financially.
“Now we’ll definitely be making the trip – hopefully they’ll have a win like we did!”
Throughout Australia, there were fourteen winners who shared in TattsLotto’s guaranteed $4 million division one prize pool on 15 September. There were ten winners in Victoria, three in Queensland, and one in Western Australia.
The winning numbers in Saturday TattsLotto draw 3251 on 15 September 2012 were 32, 34, 19, 2, 11 and 23 with the supplementary numbers 10 and 39.
Tatts Public Relations Executive Zoe Knobel said there could be more big winners this week, with large jackpots up for grabs in Oz Lotto and Powerball.
“Tonight Oz Lotto is offering $13 million, while the Powerball jackpot has skyrocketed to $30 million on Thursday! Purchase your entry today for your chance to become the newest member of the Tatts millionaires club.”
