Two weeks later Newmarket millionaire yet to claim prize

Monday 24 September, 2012 - A Wednesday Gold Lotto ticket purchased in Newmarket nearly two weeks ago won its owner $1 million, but chances are they’re not celebrating as they don’t even know about their good fortune!

Golden Casket is still waiting for the holder of an unregistered division one winning entry from Wednesday Gold Lotto draw 3250 purchased from Newmarket Casket and News to contact Golden Casket to claim their prize.

Golden Casket Public Relations Executive Zoe Knobel said it’s possible the winner has been walking around with the winning ticket in their wallet or handbag, completely unaware of their new millionaire status.

“If you purchased an entry in Wednesday Gold Lotto two weeks ago from Newmarket Casket and News, shop 118 at 400 Newmarket Road, we urge you to have your ticket checked at a Golden Casket outlet or online as soon as possible,” Ms Knobel said.

“Check your wallet, pockets, bags and glove box because you could be one of Queensland’s newest millionaires!”

“The entry was not registered to a Winners Circle card, so we have no way of contacting the winner to tell them the amazing news,” Ms Knobel added.

“Registering your Golden Casket lottery purchase to your Winners Circle card not only ensures you will be personally contacted with news of a big win, you also get the peace of mind that comes from knowing you will never miss out on a prize.”

The winning numbers in Wednesday Gold Lotto draw 3250 on Wednesday 12 September, 2012 were 18, 28, 43, 41, 38 and 44 with supplementaries 7 and 10.

There were two first division winners in the draw who each claimed $1 million, with one entry purchased in Newmarket and the other in Aspley. There were also three division two winners who took home $10,446.70 each.
