Monday 24 September 2012 - NSW Lotteries is calling on all Wetherill Park Lotto players to check their Saturday Lotto $22 million Superdraw tickets for the six winning numbers as a mystery player from the area has won a $1,571,428.58 share of the huge division one prize pool.
NSW Lotteries spokesperson Una O’Neill said that as the winner has not yet come forward, it is possible that they are unaware of their newfound wealth!
“Saturday Lotto’s $22 million Superdraw delivered 14 new millionaires across Australia. Included in the tally is an unregistered winning ticket sold from NewsXpress Wetherill Park. However, the Wetherill Park millionaire has not come forward to claim their winnings and may be unaware of their good fortune,” Ms O’Neill said.
“Occasionally Lotto players do not check their numbers immediately after a draw and it can take a few days for them to come forward. We are encouraging all Wetherill Park Lotto players to check their tickets as soon as possible.
“For one lucky person that little piece of paper with their Saturday Lotto numbers on it is now worth more than $1.5 million. Of course, for those who never want to risk missing out on a big prize it is recommended that you register all of your lottery purchases to a NSW Lotteries Players Club card. Not only will you never miss out on a prize but if you win division one we will call you and let you know,” Ms O’Neill added.
Wetherill Park’s $1.5 million winning ticket was sold from NewsXpress Wetherill Park, Stockland Town Centre, Polding Street, Wetherill Park.
Fourteen winners shared Saturday Lotto’s $22 million division one prize pool. Four of the winning tickets were sold in Victoria, three each in NSW and Western Australia, two in Queensland and one each in South Australia and Tasmania.
In NSW, along with the mystery winner from Wetherill Park, a Tweed Heads couple and a 15-share winning syndicate in Avoca Beach also enjoyed division one wins. The winning numbers from Saturday Lotto’s $22 million Superdraw, draw 3253, were 1, 19, 45, 34, 17 and 32 with the supplementary numbers 38 and 22.
Ms O’Neill said there could be more big winners this week, with large jackpots up for grabs in Oz Lotto and Powerball.
“This week Oz Lotto is offering $13 million, while the Powerball jackpot has skyrocketed to $30 million! Purchase your entry today for your chance to become the newest member of the NSW Lotteries millionaires club.”
