Marrickville man wins big with Instant Scratch-Its for the second time!

Wednesday 19 September 2012 - After winning a $75,000 Instant Scratch-Its prize two years ago, a Marrickville man did not expect to be visiting NSW Lotteries head office again to pick up another big cheque, but that is exactly what he did after scratching the $85,000 top prize on a $4 Instant Scratch-its ticket.

The winner, a RailCorp worker, said that the win made him feel nervous!

“This is my second time at NSW Lotteries head office, I was here two years ago when I won $75,000 and I didn’t expect to be here again,” the winner exclaimed.

“I used the $75,000 to pay bills and a few other things and this time I’m going to use some of my winnings to buy a new car.

“I buy my Lotto tickets every two weeks and always get a few Instant Scratch-Its as well. I bought a few tickets yesterday and this was the second one I scratched.

“I was sure I had won the $85,000 but I got a second opinion just to be safe. I always say ‘if in doubt, find out,’ so that’s what I did,” the winner added.

“I’m nervous and excited,” the winner said holding his $85,000 cheque. “I just can’t believe it’s happened again.”

When leaving the NSW Lotteries head office the winner said, “I hope I’ll be back again soon,” with a chuckle.
