Dog-lover to support special cause with TattsLotto prize money

Wednesday 12 September, 2012 - A man from Travancore was rendered speechless when he discovered he had won more than $850,000 in TattsLotto over the weekend!

The 40-year-old winner started the week $855,079.21 richer after winning a division one share of the TattsLotto draw on Saturday, but he only had his ticket checked overnight when purchasing an entry in an upcoming draw.

When he spoke with Tatts the man was in a state of shock.

“I’ve been playing for a couple of years now, but… wow!” he exclaimed while taking in the news.

“I think I’ll do some renovations on the house and look at how to invest some of the money.

“I’d love to travel overseas in the near future as well.”

Along with those items on his wish list, the winner said he’ll also use his prize money to support a cause that is close to his heart.

“I’d like to donate some of the money to The Lost Dogs Home,” he said.

“I have a few rescued dogs at home and want to help the organisation to continue doing the great work they do.”

The winning man purchased his 12-game QuickPick entry from Ascot Lotto & News at 217 Ascot Vale Road in Ascot Vale.

Throughout Australia there were five winners who shared in Saturday’s guaranteed $4 million division one prize pool, with one in Victoria, three in Queensland, and one in Western Australia.

The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 3249 on 8 September 2012 were 4, 5, 15, 35, 7 and 38 with the supplementary numbers 30 and 1.
